Paper Submission Rules


  1. Qualifications for Submission
    In principle, paper contributors should be members of this society (having a regular membership or higher).
  2. Field of Research Area
    The topic of theory or field research related to overall practical arts education.
  3. Paper Form
    The submitted paper, experimental or theoretical research, should be contained academic research purpose and be applied systematic research methods. Also, it must be a paper that has not been previously presented or published elsewhere.
  4. Practical Arts Education Research Journal is published periodically at four times yearly (February 28th, May 31st, August 31st, November 30th).
  5. Period for Accepting Papers
    Papers are frequently accepted, and deadlines are as follow: papers for February journal publications are accepted on Nov. 30st of the previous year, for May publications on February 28st, for August publications on May 31st, and for November publications on August 31st. An official letter will be sent after papers have been admitted and it is confirmed they were received. Papers are published in the order that they are received.
  6. Methods for Submissions

    (1) When making submissions include the paper title, key words, author's information (name, affiliation, resident registration number, position, address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address), submission date, and the author all filled out on the paper submission form (form 1), with nothing missing, and submitted as an attachment to the paper. Make sure no personal information is included in the main body of the paper itself.

    (2) In the case that 2 or more carry out joint research, the principal researcher's name is to be written first, followed by the names of other researchers, contact information for researchers involved in the paper corresponding authors name, address (including postal code), telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, and also fill in the same information in English.

    (3) The whole process of paper submission and review can be carried out online. With your paper written on "Hangeul 97" or upgraded, login to the society's homepage (http://www.pae.or.kr) and submit it online. The requirement for submission is that one be at least a regular member.

    (4) When submitting online, be sure to fill in all the necessary information, such as name, affiliation, emergency contact, mailing address, e-mail, title (Korean/English), key words (Korean, English / about 2-4 is good), abstract, etc.

    (5) No first named author is allowed to submit more than one paper for publishing in the same issue of a publication.

  7. Paper Evaluation Fees and Printing Fees

    (1) At the time of submission the member applying for a paper to be published must make a paper evaluation fee of ₩80,000 (Evaluation fee for 3 examiners). Once the evaluation fee has been paid evaluation of the paper can begin.

    Upon receiving evaluation results, in the case wherein you receive a decision of “Not for Publishing” by one of the three evaluators, there must be and additional payment of a separate evaluation fee (₩20,000) to request another examination to the 4th evaluator.

    (2) Among the evaluated papers which have been passed for publishing, a fee of ₩180,000 will be payed for a set manuscript length of 18 pages, an additional fee, for a research funded by any foundation, will be paid ₩100,000 for printing, and an additional charge of ₩15,000 per each additional page over the limit.

    (3) Total of 20 reprints (offprints) will be supplied to the author(s) and additional fees (₩20,000) must be paid.

    (4) When additional reprints (offprints) are needed, additional fee (₩10,000 per 10 reprints) must be paid.

  8. Copyright
    The Society of Korean Practical Arts Education Research holds entire copyright authority for Papers published in the Practical Arts Education Research Journal.
